About Us

Shenandoah “CREATES”  is a grassroots ARTS organization developed by local art enthusiasts. Our mission is to enable top-tier artists and craftspeople to share their creativity in workshops conducted in our beautiful valley. 

The concept of "Shenandoah Creates" began with conversations about the potential of ART to enhance economic development and quality of life within our community. We believe that, by bringing nationally recognized artists as well as art enthusiasts to our region - we are positively affecting local amenities, employment, tourism, and small business investment.

Our workshops are located at venues in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, home to famous attractions like Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, and the Shenandoah River. Many local “farm” wedding and event sites constructed by talented entrepreneurs provide the perfect inspiration for creativity while showcasing the beauty of this area. We have carefully selected them as partners.

Our instructors are masters in their craft and your time spent with them will be productive, inspiring and fun.
